Great observation Tink! Actually when Bill Clinton left the office we had a billion dollar budget surplus! After George W.'s hatchet job on our economy, the millions we spend weekly in Iraq coupled with the record profits these same Iraquis are getting from our country for gasoline we have the most astronomically high budget defecit in Americanhistory! We are trilions of dollars in the hole and it will take years to clean up this mess created by the Bush administration. The housing market is in a crisis and no one wants to bail out the individual homeowners, but the Republicans sure are moving heaven and earth to bail out all these banks that are going under. I think finally Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are going to get some govt subsidation though. I just pray that Obama will be elected. If McCain is elected, things are going to go from bad to worse. I saw him on tv a few weeks ago being interviewed when some one asked him why viagra is covered on most health insurance policies, but not birth control. He grinned like an idiot for about 15 seconds before he admitted he had no idea why. He is so out of touch with most domestic issues. I was also disappointed by the way Hillary was treated, but I can't afford to allow that anger to overshadow the fact that Obama is our only hope at this stage in the election process....OBAMA 08!!!
